Proofreading

Proofreading is typically done after a document or manuscript has been edited and is ready to be submitted for publishing, turned in for a class, or distributed to recipients. It includes a review for accuracy and consistency in grammar, spelling, and formatting. I also look for typographical errors – extra or missing spaces, transposed letters, duplicated words, and omitted or duplicated punctuation.

Proofreading services are generally billed at $35/hour, but some projects are eligible for a fixed price rate. Please see the standard rate list on this site, and contact me so we can discuss your project. If your document needs a more comprehensive review, copyediting may be a better choice for you.  Email me or schedule a consultation to determine which service is best for your project.
