Helping you navigate your creative path

About imageAbout image
I'm a writer, proofreader, and editor with over 30 years of professional experience and academic work in a wide variety of fields. I have worked on numerous editing projects at my jobs and as a freelancer, including several book-length and professional journal manuscripts, resumes, training and policy/procedural manuals, and newsletters.

Your specific needs drive my work. I can do proofreading and light editing or full content editing with fact/resource checking. My specialties are memoir and self-help, but if you have another project you need edited, contact me so we can discuss. I give the same meticulous attention to detail to a newsletter as I would to a full-length manuscript. If you have a full-length book manuscript, brochure, newsletter, training materials, company procedural manual, article, essay, or emails you need perfected for publication, I would love to discuss with you!

Although I generally write and edit according to The Chicago Manual of Style, I am familiar with AP and APA, and I have also adapted editing work to a variety of house styles.

A third blog (coming soon) will be located on my other business website:

NOTE: All written work and all photographs on this and the WordPress sites are copyrighted and may not be used without permission.

Because each project is unique, I will need to see your manuscript before I can give you an estimate.  For full-length manuscripts, I offer a free 1000-word sample edit.

Below is a copy of the standard rates/ranges as put forth by the Editorial Freelancers Association. These are suggested rates based on what is typical for the industry; most of my rates are lower, because I work primarily with indie authors and I want to be sure they get quality services without having to break the bank.
